Kemar's journey to becoming one of the top low voltage expert is that of an inspiring one. His story begins in 2005 at Savannah State University where he attended for 3 years studying Mechanical Engineering. He later realized that this field of study wasn't necessarily his passion so he would later transfer to DeVry University in 2009 where he continued his studies but with a switch in direction to Electronics Engineering. This would only last one year due to different life circumstances. Postposing his collegiate career, he decided to enter the workforce in the low voltage industry in 2010.

 

He then spent the next seven years working with the some of the largest companies in the low voltage industry such as Xfinity, Time Warner Cable, ADT,  and Ackerman Security Systems. By the end 2014, he had became a master of his craft through extensive experience and numerous certifications earned along the way. At the start of 2015, feeling unfulfilled, he returned to DeVry University to complete his bachelor's program but decided to change his field of study to Information Technology. I guess you could say, he fell in love with the technological advances he had encountered along the way. Kemar would work during the day and go to class at night when online learning wasn't permitted. His tenacity for completion would allow him to continue on this path nonstop for two years which bared fruit in August of 2017 when he acquired his bachelor's in Network Communication and Management with a concentration in Cisco Networking Fundamentals.

 

Kemar eventually left Ackerman Security Systems to pursue a career in Information Technology as a traveling IT Specialist for a company called OnsiteRIS. After six months of traveling week after week, this began to take a heavy toll on his health. He eventually left this company to devote more time to starting his own freelance business, THETEKNICIAN, LLC. THETEKNICIAN, LLC was established August of 2017 and  has grown in the past few years becoming a one stop shop for all the clients they service. From cabling to home security, THETEKNICIAN, LLC literally does it all. Kemar prides himself in running an agency that is modeled to a high-end standard with a competitive price structure.
